Προτεινόμενα Φαρμακεία στον Αναθεωρητή Φαρμακείων

My dad was diagnosed with sleep apnea, but he had a lot of trouble with the mask and would take it off halfway through the night. I tried to get him to use one of those new masks that just cover your nose, but he wasn’t interested, even though he felt tired all the time. But with that being said, my friend got diagnosed with sleep apnea and she wears her mask and she says she feels much better now.

@Krang

That sounds horrible. I would see a therapist. I once read that during sleep, the body works through traumas with less anxiety.

I had a touch of sleep apnea for the past 2 decades. But last January I was fortunate to get a prescription for Wegovy. I've lost 60 pounds and no longer have the sleep apnea. Of couse I do need to get a shot every week, altho I understand that multiple pharmaceutical companies are experimenting with various formulas to make the effects of the drug last longer between doses.

Maybe you could try hypnotherapy? Or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy? Perhaps if you are able to change your nightly routine and reduce anxiety OF falling asleep, it would put you on a different trajectory during sleep?

Or what about a diurnal sleeping pattern? Go to sleep early, for a few hours, wake up (12am-1am) and use the restroom, grab a drink, then fall back asleep. There are studies coming out that say this might better replicate our ancient sleep patterns (pre-industrial revolution)

Maybe you can get a couple hours of sleep, but wake up before any bad dreams happen, then fall back asleep and hope you only have good dreams???
